HOMOSEXUALITY: where do you stand?

Homosexuality: why should I care?

Lot has been said, published and researched about this topic and I have a feeling we'd never reach the proverbial silver bottom of the well, or catch the proverbial elves  hoarding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. There's simply too much to say. It is a topic that has generally divided people into three camps, each putting forth the following arguments:

1. " All Homosexuals will BURN IN HELL! LETS KILL EM!!!"

2. "Who cares what people do in their bedroom?that's their business. let them be free."
3. "We cant have legislative solutions to a moral problem"(whilst folding hands).

If you fall into any of these four groups, then your in the right place, and I'm glad you're reading this. Please remember that this article is not meant to offend anyone; Its intention is not to single out, ridicule or embarrass anyone: Its intention is to give you a Biblical perspective on this matter, particularly in a time when the devil is at full throttle with his mission to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). With the world spinning the wrong direction, we seem to be getting more and more tolerant to corruption to the point we've become numb to the events around us. I don't know about you, but NOTHING surprises me any more. I feel a sense of urgency due to the indifference I've seen in people regarding this issue; its either people don't care, people don't see how it affects them, or people are using the opportunity to derive entertainment by picking up their torches and joining the lynch mob. I am a Christian- If that offends you, please worry about offending God; I'm not a narcissist that enjoys offending people.NO; But for the sake of the truth Id hurt anyone, even myself, even if it means amputating my limbs without anaesthesia I'd do it. There's a Swahili proverb that says "Msema kweli hapendezi" ( the person saying the truth is unpleasant).I live in Mombasa, Kenya.I once tried to engage a church elder in conversation, how my generation is facing challenges especially in matters of identity, sexuality and ambition: we talked at length but on the topic of sexuality, he didn't have much to say either because HE GENUINELY HAD NOTHING TO SAY, or he just thought it awkward. The church I attend has some severe hard-liners who wouldn't even mention this topic to the congregation; I understand them and the background they each came from, but I disagree with their silence. So Ill address everyone in each of the camps above, and I shall attempt to draw the battle line. thereafter ill show you which side inevitably "wins", and finally, the side that shall survive when God comes back.

1. "All Homosexuals will burn in Hell!!!"

If you fall into this group, Id like to address you first because in your attempts to voice your concerns, you got carried away by the euphoria of the crowd, and your campaign progressively morphed into a chant screaming "Crucify them! Kill them all!!"--condemnation. The Bible says do not judge, and Ill quote it for you. Matthew 7:1-2; (N.I.V) "Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way as you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" also remember Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." John 3:17"For Christ came not to condemn the world but to redeem it." It is God who is the righteous judge.Only God knows the complexities surrounding each homosexual and the identity battles raging in each and every one of those poor souls.Am I endorsing homosexuality? NO I'm not. However, a preacher in an interview was asked,

"Will Homosexuality take you to hell?"

  In reply He said,

"Well, Heterosexuality wont get you to Heaven"...

I found it humorous yet witty because with that response, he set the foundation for this pertinent question- WHO WILL GO TO HEAVEN AND WHO WONT?(Ill answer this question at the end of this article). People have hijacked this furore against gays as an avenue to gain some kind of righteousness; as though they'd be given "righteous points" on some virtual score card and everyone is trying to beat the "high score". That in itself is sinful, because the Bible says and I quote,
"Be careful not to do your righteous acts before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your father in heaven"- Matthew 6:1(N.I.V).
Stop trying to show everyone how righteous you are. So put out your torches ye that belong to the lynch mob and pick up a Bible, and if you're going to make noise, let it be constructive and convincing, devoid of a condemnatory demeanour. You may be right that the act is evil, but you need to be methodical in your approach, lest your attempts be futile.

I have good news! GOD LOVES HOMOSEXUALS BUT DETESTS HOMOSEXUALITY.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SUFFER INTERNALLY; you don't have to battle your own biology; you don't have to feel sexually misplaced; you don't have to feel stigmatized or condemned. Christ won that battle for you on the cross- He was crucified so that you don't have to be crucified. But you must want out of homosexuality and recognize it as a sin, just as adultery, or theft, or murder, or bearing false witness. Christ will give you the victory to overcome your struggle if you let Him in!!! It is for that very reason that He came here. Jesus himself says and I quote; "It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick... For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9:12-13.
If you think its impossible to overcome the battle, read about this guy.

He was in it for thirty years and Christ got him out. He testifies to the truth of the statements "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 and "We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" Romans 8:37.
I'm sure there's someone out there asking "why should I change who I am? its consensual anyway." Truth is its not who you are. When you perpetually defile the human body, your soul starts to wear out; and the physical manifestations are but a belated announcement of an earlier decay of the spirit. God desires to take you out of the habit, but human obstinacy grieves Him. Romans 1:24 "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another." verse 26 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for  unnatural ones. In the same way men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with LUST for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
This is a tip of the iceberg of what the Bible says about homosexuality. God detests it, just like any other sin. I wrote the word LUST in capital letters to highlight one thing.>> The Bible defines sexual feelings towards someone of the same sex as LUST and not LOVE. So whether the feelings are consensual or not, its not love that your feeling, its lust. Is it possible to love someone of the same sex? Yes it is. I love my father and my two brothers. I also love my male friends very much. David loved Jonathan. Ruth loved Naomi. Ain't nothing wrong with that. But as the media continues to corrupt the definition of the word love through poisonous soap operas, television programs etc, I have to use that word more selectively.I feel constraint because of political correctness. Every human being has a right to be free and happy; but the right to happiness is not the right to immorality. Your argument may have facts( even episodes of homosexuals in history) but the truth is more important than facts. So what if there were African princes that did it? does that make it right? does it make it normal because it was done in the past? murders occurred in the past as well; does that make murder okay today? in fact in history utterly condemned homosexuality, even by hanging       ( look up the American constitution and how General George Washington and his friends interpreted it ). But as our society continues in its decadent downward spiral, what was once obscene is now acceptable, and we've become numb to the truth; but to our own destruction. If you're reading this and you're offended, please worry about offending God. Remember repentance paves the way for reform.Do not reject the truth; it is life-giving.

2. "Who cares what people do in their bedroom?that's their business. let them be free."

What people do within the privacy of their bedrooms is their business. WRONG!>>> IF ITS MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER YOU BET ITS MY BUSINESS!!! God forbid if its my son in there with another man.TRUST ME IT WOULD BE MY BUSINESS!!! but that's just me. How we nurture our children is pivotal in determining what kind of parents or individuals they will be. Nurture determines nature. As for freedom to do as you please, there's something called political correctness and people are no longer free to express themselves. The gay community wants to be free and enjoy the benefits of heterosexual married couples, but when we voice concerns its called a HATE CRIME. In places like Canada; it is prosecutable to speak out against homosexuality; isn't that an infringement on the freedom of speech? It has been equated to speaking out against a race, or a minority of people. That is just plain unfair. There is deep political espionage as the gay community has made their movement seem like the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's; therefore being against it makes you look like your against 'love' when in essence you are against lust. So what they have done is made the anti-gay activist look like a racist or a terrorist or some Nazi. That is sinful in itself. The media has not helped the situation either. Almost every popular television series has that gay couple or some subliminal undertones that endorse their campaign; we may not realize the profound effect that has but its normalized the issue, so much that it affects politics; like Francois Hollande won and the gay community backed him as he promised to further their agendas. Sadly the people of France later on took to the streets in the THOUSANDS to protest of the breakdown of the family as their parliament voted for the legalization of gay marriage. It shows you something--- YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG. Some things are self evident, and nature testifies to that fact. the pictures below should shock you at how much outrage there is against this, even in the very countries considered to be morally permissive.
You can visit the following site for more information: reuters

So should we sit down and be quiet as the Family is dissected and redefined for us? NO. It was and should always be dad, mum and children. Never should it be Dad, dad and children, or Mum, mum and children. Even for the single parents, the same principle applies. I pray that God may have mercy on those children raised by gay parents. Like ionizing radiation that produces mutations in animals and humans, so shall this legalization of gay marriages produce moral mutations that we may not be able to describe a hundred years down the line. With the legalization of gay marriage, what's to stop two brothers from getting married? or two sisters? or a son to his mother?> after all, they love each other... Here we are Legislating a moral issue, which brings us to the final group that says:

3. "We cant have legislative solutions to a moral problem"(whilst folding hands).

If this is your mindset, Id like to ask; Should we then take a moral problem and have it Legislated???...I want to reveal something rather shocking. HOMOSEXUALS ARE  NOT AS MANY IN NUMBER AS PURPORTED(real statistics) They are 1-3% of the worlds population as opposed to the 25% they want us to believe, and yet, this highly vocal and militant minority has held the whole world captive to their demands. By assuming the sick-role, the gay community has harnessed the worlds sympathy as the fuel that will stoke the fires of their desires. That is the textbook definition of MANIPULATION. Its like intellectual neurosurgery where our thoughts are being transplanted; and the media is the anaesthesia. There are several times in history when the world was filled with so much perversion but only a handful prompted God to destroy That generation.

I can not fail to mention the events that transpired in Sodom and Gomorrah, which were destroyed for their great wickedness and sexual perversion. The story is found in Genesis 18-19. The Bible says that before God rained fire and brimstone on those two cities, He sought if he could find at least 50 righteous people in that town that hadn't turned to homosexuality. If He found 50 He wouldn't destroy it. He did not. In His infinite grace he bargained that number all the way down to ten; and He still could not find ten righteous people. But He found one person called Lot, and God sent His angels to get him and his family out of there. To depict the gravity of these towns wickedness, the citizens demanded to have sex with those angels. Every man in that town from the youngest to the oldest surrounded Lot's house. He offered them his daughters but they refused! they wanted those men that were his visitors. As the crowd grew more lustful and attempted to break in, the angels struck them with blindness such that they could not find the door; so inflamed with lust was the crowd that even in their blindness, they groped about Lot's house trying to find entry. Lot finally made it out, but his wife, overwhelmed by the thought of loosing her material possessions, loved Sodom more than she did her life. She defied the angels orders not to look back and when she did, she turned into a pillar of salt.... We cannot ignore these events and forge forward with complacency. We can only offend God so much before sudden destruction comes upon this world.

Gay clergy
Knowing what God thinks of homosexuality, I find it outrageous that a church would ordain gay bishops, priests and clergy. If you do belong to such a church then I'm afraid there is a huge conflict of principles. You cannot call yourself a Bible church and ordain gay clergy. Am I surprised at what is happpening? Not really. Outraged perhaps but not surprised because the Bible prophesied such events and I quote, "For a time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
Martin Luther( a reformist and one of the founders of the Lutheran Church) would convulse in his grave if he heard what the church he started is condoning. YES. The Lutheran Church ordained gay clergy. This is an announcement to the world that the avenues of perversion are now open, even in the church. A time will come when pastors will get sued for refusing to wed a gay couple. The institution of marriage is called Holy Matrimony; and now it is not so Holy. God can neither unite man to man nor woman to woman to yield one flesh (a child, which is a product of that union); only the union of man and woman can do that. (Genesis 2:24). I hope you can see where this is all going.

The Bible says in Luke 17:26-30 "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. THEN the flood came and destroyed them all."  It seems to me that the straw that broke the camels back was "marrying and being given in marriage." It was then, and it will be with our generation. A society that does not place limits on its pleasures and appetites inevitably destroys itself. The Roman empire is but an example-- and before their destruction, historians state that the men had lost their masculinity. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are living at the precipice. We are right on the edge and certain crucial events of prophetic significance from the Bible are unfolding before our eyes.

Who inevitably wins this battle?

The Gay community. They'll get what they want. Some events have to happen before this world comes to its inevitable end.

So who is going to heaven?

Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, BUT ONLY HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER"..... God's will on the matter is crystal clear. It is Gods desire to have every single soul saved and in his loving arms, but we must choose to love Him more than we do our vices and opinions. If theres anything I'd like you to take home, its this- "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it" Matthew 7:13.

Let us take a stand for the truth, and the Truth shall set us free...

  2. Considering your "research" on what causes homosexuality is extremely out of date, you should get caught up with current research on the matter of what causes homosexuality. Current research says you ARE born homosexual. And these are just a few examples of more recent scientific exploration on the causes of homosexuality.

    1. Hey, thankyou so much for those links. Ive had a look at them and they're very compelling. I agree with one thing, that a person may not have chosen to have sexual feelings towards someone of the same sex. Perhaps I should have gone deeper about that part. Sincerest apologies, It wasnt maliciously excluded. However, what this article gives is a Biblical perspective on the matter. These are my beliefs and those of Billions of true Christians around the world. I believe the Bible as Truth. and the God I believe in can transform former drug addicts like myself and rehabilitate them; There is NOTHING HE CANNOT DO; That said, whether or not a person was born with those feelings or not, it can be dealt with. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually Immoral nor Idolaters nor adulterers nor prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. BUT YOU WERE WASHED, YOU WERE SANCTIFIED, YOU WERE JUSTIFIED IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OR GOD"... Like I said, Nothing is impossible.

No maam, I prefer diplomacy over militancy; feel free to email me at ngokoe@gmail.com and we can discuss further. and one of the replies you sent(which I deleted) didn't prove me wrong; they were misleading, and I wouldn't anyone reading my blog to be misled when all they were seeking was the truth.

    4. They were not misleading. They are the current research on what the Bible does and doesn't say regarding homosexuality. Based on hermeneutics, i.e. the study of language. In this case, the ancient Greek and Hebrew in which the Bible was originally written and based on the most current understanding of those languages. Besides, if you want people to seek the truth, don't you think they should have ALL the information available, not just what you think is the truth??

    5. I would be very interested to see that research on hermeneutics and read for myself what the Bible does or doesn't say about homosexuality from that perspective. If Evans is unwilling to have those links on this blog post please email me at kafi22.on@gmail.com

    8. Hey Karyl, I would like to shine light on the "evidence" you have. I have decided to let you post it here. so that whatever way it goes, the whole world would see for themselves. It is not an admition that i was wrong, but it is a chance for all of us to be objective. post it here please; and you may explain what it says in a nutshell.

    9. A lesbian read this blog, and this is what she had to say:
well, he is right in some and in others I can not
really say. Especially when it comes to the
being born part...I said I will only ever argue
with someone on that topic if they have
experienced it, his research was bias as in
developed countries they have found evidence
that it is not influenced by environment... I for
one would want to know how someone raised in
ministry their whole lives, stays chaste and
whose will is to serve God 'chooses to be'
gay.... having had a personal battle for years
between my faith and self because of my
sexuality and upbringing. I will speak neither for
God nor against this guy. There are things that
we do not understand. The problem with us
human beings is that we use context to our bias.
Am I a sinner? Yes! Does God Love me? Yes!
Am I willing and ready to let him into my life?
Yes! He says "Come just as you are,"
somethings are not up to me to change or
correct. He made me so he knows me and
understands me best. He knows why I came here
this way and if I have submitted to his will then
in his time, according to his plan and will he will
sort it out. In the meantime, I will make the
right choices where I have been afforded
choice and work hard to live in accordance to
his word. Everytime you think wrongly of
someone you have committed sin. We all sin, and
no sin is bigger than any other sin... it is good
to correct your fellow when they are going
wrong but that should apply across all wrongs.
Not just for the homos... Ultimately, you will not
be judged by how many people you condemned
or corrected but by how you led your life and
how much of Christ and God's love you shared
with others. Show me someone who truly and
honestly loves his neighbour as he loves himself
and I will show you a man who has a lot of God
in him... even I am not worthy to say I have
that much God in me. I am just another lost
soul who found the cross, got washed in the
blood and is guided by the spirit but I am still
just finding my way to God. I think it would
work better if we shared God's love, his
forgiveness... bring the fold into His kingdom
and then let him do the transformation. Just
like salvation, people don't need a saviour,
Jesus already got that done. People need to see
Jesus, to want to know him more from our works
which are our testimonies. They need to be led
to the cross, Jesus will do the saving, healing
and transforming. How about we start teaching
more about God's love... and hey, loving the
gays and letting them into our churches, letting
them hear the word of God and experience his
love through our kindness, understanding and
lack of judgement. We are busy yapping about a
'sin' we don't understand.. trying to
understand it and destroying many souls in the
process. I know so many people who have lost
faith in the gay community because when they
came out to a pastor they were condemned,
kicked out, subjected to rape etc... how about
just welcoming them to the fold and letting
God work on them slowly? let them know how
wonderful God is, how his mercy and grace
never ends. How he does not see us differently
and his love is equal for we are all his
children? how about we tell them the good news
of the sacrifice at Calvary... how Jesus sat with
hoes and tax collectors, thieves and the lepers
and even though he was the most righteous and
had no sin at all, he loved them, healed them,
changed them and even gave up his life to save
them.. Now that is a God am sure many would
want to serve, He is the God I save, and I am
unashamed to say so. If I could change who I

    10. am for him and not live a life of pretense, I
would. Scripture says, "Do not be deceived God
cannot be mocked for whatever man soweth,
that he shall reap." I am not encouraging
homosexuality... but I will not leave a pretend
life, in order to fit in and so people can see me
as normal. God knew me before I was born and
he has plans to give me hope and a future. Now,
I can sit here and sulk about how my sexuality
will condemn me to hell and try pretending,
even get a beard hubby and kids but I chose to
give my life to God and Serve him from my
point of need. At least that way, when he asks
me what I did with my life, I won't start with
stories of " Oh you know how I was gay and
couldn't tell people about your love because gay
and Christianity don't go hand in hand..." No, I
will say proudly... I spoke of your love to those
who like me had been ostracized by the church,
I spoke of your undying mercy and goodness. I
told them that you could love them just as you
have loved me and that you are not man that
we understand your thoughts or deeds. That all
they needed to do was take that step of faith
and let you into their hearts and into their
lives. that they read your word and seek a
deeper knowledge of you... and that to me is
what every believer should be doing... the
command is "Go ye into the world and spread
the good news." The GOOD NEWS I believe, is
the GREAT LOVE GOD HAS FOR US ALL. *I
APOLOGIZE FOR MY LONG OUTBURST, I

But the God I believe in has done amazing things in my life and Im certain there is nothing He can't do.

  4. This is an impassioned plea Evans and I believe your heart is in the right place and that you mean well, but the simple truth is that there is no black or white answer to any the gay question. even with bucket-loads of empathy it is impossible to truly know what is happenning in the heart of another human being. I find it hard to imagine that someone would willingly put themselves through persecution to the point of being rejected by their family and their lives being in danger for the simple reason of willful sinfulness and lust.
The story of Sodom and Gomorah also says:

(Genesis19:5-8) 5-They called to Lot "where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them" 6- Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7-and said, "No my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. 8- Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with any man. let me bring them out to, and you can do with them what you like. But don;t do anything with this men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

In the same breath he uses to righteously declare that these men should leave his guests alone he offers up his daughters to be raped. Is the suggestion that it is better to rape a woman than to rape a man? what if it isn't rape, but is consensual sex between two adults (regardless of whether they are your family members or not), Is raping a woman better than that?

Standing in judgement does not necessarily have to be outright persecution or condemnation or hateful acts like murder as is happenning in Uganda. Simply suggesting that some-one's lifestyle is sinful and needs a remedy is judgment.
I think it's naive in to imagine that any moral code (even the Bible) is the only true one. Live and let live, my brother. Everyone is on a path on which only they alone are aware of what is right and what is wrong morally.

  5. What I meant to show my pointing out the part of the daughters is to say that that same Bible was used to oppress women for many generations until they overcame. it was used during the times of slavery to justify enslaving another human being who you consider to be inferior until the civil rights movement. and after years everyone has finally caught up. In this day and age no one could in their right mind try to use the same arguments the White Southern preachers used to maintain that slavery was right.

    1. Thankyou so much for your comments. Very enlightening, especially when you mentioned the part when Lot offered his daughters to those men outside; THEY DID NOT RAPE THEM. But i understand your outrage that this man would rather give up his daughters than have his visitors sodomized. Why would God allow such a thing to happen? why would he allow Lot to use his daughters as bargaining chips? Because God knew beforehand that the crowd did not want sex with women; it wanted sex with MEN. Like an attorney gathering evidence for the prosecution, God was gathering the evidence to depict the extent of sodoms wickedness for the jury(readers of the Bible) to see for themselves that He is just. Its not the first time God has allowed such tests to happen. remember when Abraham was told to sacrifice his OWN SON on an alter?? He waited YEARS to have this child, then God asks him to sacrifice the poor boy!!! WHO DOES THAT??...BUT you see, just as Abraham was plunging the knife downwards towards Isaac's heart, an angel appeared and told him "STOP!!!! You have been tested and indeed you love God more than anything else. there is a ram in the bushes, slaughter it instead."... And with that test, evidence was gathered for the world to see how faithful Abraham was to God. I hope you understand that my sister. (Genesis 22)
The other issue is how narcissists, racists and slave traders have abused the Bible and taken scripture out of context to justify vile sadistic actions. Ill start with slavery- Here is what god thinks of it...
Two verses, one from OT and one NT shows us God's stand on this injustice. Leviticus 25:42'Because the Israelites are my servants, whom I brought out of Egypt, they must not be sold as slaves. 1 Tim 1:9,10'We also know that the law is not made for the rightious but for lawbreakers and rebels...for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers-and for whatever else is contrary to the sound docrine...' #slaveryisanevil

    2. Please remember that all human beings are full of fault. the only sinless one is Jesus Christ; the one who can love each and every individual perfectly as they need love. God is graceful and merciful, abounding in love, slow to anger and very patient. I just need people to see more of His Love and not His fury . I understand the complexities surrounding people; thats why on the blog above, I started out by adressing the lynch mob that says "kill them!!!"... Christ wouldn't do that. He would plead with them. Christ has the power to save and transform people, from drug addicts (like myself) to a reformed state. Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."... Ive witnessed Christs power to transform, Im merely announcing that it will be freely availed(in abundance) to those who ask of it. God bless sister

    3. It is not God who offered up the daughters it is Lot himself. If it had been God you could argue that He knew all things and knew that they would not have accepted the women. But Lot offered up his daughters because he felt that that was better than these men having sex with his male guests.
As lot is depicted to be the only morally upright man left in Sodom and Gomorah at the time then I can only assume that the Bible aims to show that this opinion of his was right and justifiable. Morally upright like Lot himself. Such a view of women is openly condemed now and touted as an abuse of the scriptures. same thing with rascism.
And soon enough, in the near or far future this same view of the gay community will change and the Christian community will find a way to PR around it.
These are all groups in society that were treated as second class citizens because of something that they were not something that they did.

    4. Exodus 21:1-10 gives rules on how to go about treating your slaves. It doesn't say: "don't have slaves. this is wrong and discriminatory" it says how to best treat a slave. Any Christian slave owner from back in the day was well within his rights to quote the Bible on this issue any recieve more than enough justification for his actions. This was not only in the old testament but also in the new testament wher Paul extols slaves to obey their earthly masters and work for them as if working for God and not for man (Colossians 3: 22-23)

    5. Hey Olive. During the Exodus, Do you recall the stiffnecked Israelites and their capacity for disobedience? Egypt had so corrupted them that they desired slavery over deliverance or freedom, evidenced by their repeated cries to Moses, "WHY DID YOU BRING US OUT IN THE DESERT TO DIE? WERE THERE NO GRAVES IN EGYPT?"... Since they were so vile that God gave them what their carnal hearts desired. God loves Mercy over hard hearted acts like slavery. Exodus 34:6-7 God says of Himself "THe Lord, The Lord!!, The compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet He does not leave the wicked unpunished;"...God desired that people would take to this example and love what he loves and hate what he hated.but people did not. people loved power, and dominion over the weak, the helpless and the fatherless. such is the rotten state of the human soul. but in Gods infinite and unfathomable grace, He still didnt desire that a single soul should perish. even those slave owners. so God gave them over to their desires; to enslave other people and let them have their way; so that their deeds, when fully sown, would yield their fruit. when you sow slavery, the fruit yielded is rebellion... there is no where in history where a people were tortured without some kind of rebellion or uprising. those are inevitable. look at the nazis and the jews. look at babylon. look at ancient greece, look at ancient rome; all quashed because their greed and appetite to dominate and subdue the world grew out of control, and someone got fed up with beeing stepped on. what im saying is this; even when God allowed people to be enslaved, they were to be treated justly, paid properly and fed well; enough to warrant their obedience (like workers) but with mans uncontainable vileness, God always delivers a people too long supressed. He abhors slavery. much as you see passages asking for obedience... Let us not forget one very important individual in all this; his name is Lucifer (the devil); and he has made himself invisible; his greatest deception beeing that he doesnt even exist. id like to ask you a question. WHERE IS LUCIFER IN ALL THIS? WHAT ROLE DOES HE HAVE TO PLAY IN ALL THIS MESS???

    1. THANKS for your comment. My friend they didnt die for nothing. Had those towns been spared the world as you know it would have been far more wicked than it currently is. and many more souls would have been lost to satan and hell. But God is powerful, and from those events, some millions of souls have a chance to heaven. we will be there.

    1. The only news that would make you feel better is that Jesus Christ died for the wickedness of this world so you dont have to be condemned. in Him you can find all purpose. accept him into your life and you will love what he loves and hate what he hates. They werent necessary casualties of war. they chose to die rather than change their ways and live. God ALWAYS gives people choice before destruction comes upon them. remember Noah and the flood? they were given 120 years!!!! God is patient; and after that patience has been abused, then destruction comes; only because it was chosen over repentance.

  8. Sure. Blame the devil. Last line of Defense for all Christians. Knowing full well that I cant follow you to that side of sanity.

I had written a very long story which disappeard when I clicked publish. I don't know whether to blame God or the Devil for that. I'll leave that to you since you seem to have a good grasp on who does what in that battle.

My final statement though was that The Bible has been altered many times over history. Sometimes due to translation errors and some times for political reasons since the Church has a well documented MILITANT and POLITICAL past. To base your life on it is your choice but to dare judge people's lifestyles is naive and I dare say irresponsible.

    1. perhaps I should have put more emphasis on God’s love than His anger.stating that the world is in a mess and pointing at Lucifer is not a last line of defense.I’m not playing defense. I’m on the offensive against Lucifer’s Kingdom. If you trust the words of Jesus Christ, He says of The devil that he is the "Prince of this world”-. The first group of people I addressed (1) are the people that judge. I stated (with scripture) that judgment is wrong- I hope you read that part... responding to your comments is like heart surgery; it has to be done with precision and tact lest it all go very wrong. You strike me as someone that has very good knowledge of the Bible; and you very likely have a relationship with God. But perhaps something happened to warrant fear; and fear (bad fear) yields doubt. Yes, there’s someone who used the Bible the wrong way; someone excluded certain books, THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. I’m not against people; But I’m against institutions and lies that enslave people.. My intention isn’t to burden you with guilt; neither is it to shame anyone; nor is it to show you that I’m right and you’re wrong. My only wish is that one day, you and I will be in heaven with God Himself, laughing our heads off because up there, there are no tears, crying, mourning, sadness or sorrow: Heaven is Joy beyond human imagination; nothing but endless joy! And Id want both of us, and everyone reading this blog to be there.. Let me answer your questions one at a time.

    2. 1..Something deleted your message before you clicked ‘publish’… well I was posting replies and suddenly my internet connection went out as well. I’m certain that was God’s work> because the things we were typing (both of us) had an aggressive demeanour and would not bring peace to either of our hearts. The Bible says that Love conquers everything. It softens even the hardest heart. It is with love and sincerity that I speak. I believe it was also done to bring s to talk about the depth of these differences in opinion that we have, and to bring s to a point where we both can see truth from error. Please remember that even as I type this I am a sinner (the worst one) saved by Gods grace and mercy.

    3. 2.The tampering of the Bible: well I sympathize with the poor souls that decided to attempt altering Gods words. Revelations 22:18 says “I warn everyone who hears the words of prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophesy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.” --- with those harsh words in mind, who on earth is stupid enough to alter anything at the cost of his soul? Who is this that wants to go to hell? Who is this that craves his destruction?

    4. AHA!!! THOSE THAT HAVE SOLD THEIR SOULS TO THE DEVIL AND JOINED HIM IN REBELLION AGAINST HEAVEN. There are wicked men out there; and they are greedy enough to do it. Which brings me to the next point;3.LUCIFER:The name Satan means “the resistor”. His mission is to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10).He is the master of counterfeits and to everything constructive, he gives a destructive alternative that seems too attractive to turn down. When the early church started out after Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, The devil schemed to thwart its growth. He influences people in this world (1John 5:19, Revelation 12:9) to worship created things and to have people stray as far away from Gods will as is possible. He is the ruler of this world (Luke 4:5-7) and Gods kingdom threatened his autonomy on earth. People started to open their eyes to see evil for what it is, so the devil gathered to himself servants and minions, promising great wealth and power, to wage war against the saints. He used the likes of Nero (and the roman empire) to intimidate, torture and persecute Christians with unfathomable cruelty. Some were tossed to lions in arenas, some were sawn in two halves, others were burnt alive, skinned alive, and boiled alive. Jesus Himself foretold this persecution, but He promised great reward for martyrdom.Despite the horrific acts, people still believed; because as they were being killed, they were praising God! The spectators were astounded! So the death of one Christian cased 10 more to believe. Killing 10 Christians would cause 100 more to convert. Christians were multiplying like popcorn on a hot plate; and Lucifer realized that killing them wasn’t stopping them. Being the Father and author of all lies,he resorted to what he does best…DECEPTION. He infiltrated the church with the help of a politician;Constantine, and with him and his followers came the introduction of paganism into the church: the burning of incense, worship on Sunday, bowing down to statues, praying to Mary etc. As harmless as these practices may seem, they are responsible for the fractioning of Christianity as you see it today. As the years went by, the effects of diluting Gods word became visible; there came new abominations within the church that none had ever seen- greed, temple prostitution and abuse of power to mention a few. THE DARK AGES as it is known to this day. The ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH persecuted anyone that contradicted them (they even declared the Pope a representation of God). They even confiscated the Bible and the Holy books. Lucifer’s work had finally yielded fruit;People began to see this Heresy.Martin Luther along with tens of thousands of disgruntled Christians nailed the 95 THESIS voicing their discontent with the paganism and corruption of Christ’s work. They were branded heretics. They were killed, tortured and maimed. But before their death, Martin Luther and some accomplices managed to steal a Bible, just around the time when the printing press had been invented: the Bible as it were, was mass produced and copies sent to all corners of the world. God’s word, in whatever state they found it, was now in the hands of the common man. In the book of Proverbs it says that God oversees knowledge, so that the truth inevitably surfaces. The protestant movement began, and the journey out of this spiritual Babylon began. And today, Churches are divided based on how much Romanism they clung to or let go of. In all this my friend, the bible is trustworthy.
